About Rock Rose
Madelynne Jensen, MS, CCC-SLP, IBCLC
Since the first horse was tamed several thousand years ago, humans and horses have shared a profound, distinct, and enduring bond. Maddy experienced this life altering connection at a young age and never looked back. Rock Rose was founded with the mission of sharing the joy and healing power of horses to improve the lives of children and their families.
Maddy is a licensed speech language pathologist in the states of Oregon and Washington, certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association. She graduated from the University of Delaware in 2013 with her bachelor of science degree in Cognitive Science with minors in Disability Studies, Psychology, and Women’s Studies (now Women and Gender Studies). In 2015 she graduated from the University of Washington with her master of science degree in Medical Speech Language Pathology. She has practiced in a variety of settings including early intervention, acute care/inpatient, and outpatient hospital clinics. In addition to her work with pediatric speech/language clients, she also specializes in infant/pediatric feeding and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She has completed both American Hippotherapy Association Part I and II trainings, and is a professional member of Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH Intl.).
In her spare time, you can find Maddy taking long neighborhood walks with her partner, scouting new restaurants, and learning to ski! She enjoys reading, traveling, and competing her big beautiful bay horse on the hunter/jumper circuit. She has never met a dog she didn’t instantly love.
